Welcome to the International Church of Metaphysical Humanism
Metaphysics is the study of consciousness, existence, and reality. The International Church of Metaphysical Humanism (ICMH) is a ministerial organization that advocates a healthy human-centered spiritual philosophy which seeks to explore and understand the human condition as well as to empower the human spirit through grounded and rational metaphysical principles. Metaphysical Humanism stresses looking within oneself to create a healthy balance of physical, metaphysical, spiritual, and psychological concepts as a pathway to Self-Completeness (self-actualization).
Although similar in some respects to Secular Humanism, Metaphysical Humanism takes a broader, less narrow approach to understanding reality. Metaphysical Humanism encourages spiritual self-discovery free of the typical constraints of mainstream religion, Determinism, and dogmatic scientism. Because of a human-centered focus, Metaphysical Humanism is of primary interest to individuals who prefer a more objective approach to spirituality including those with atheistic, agnostic, and/or pantheistic outlooks. Indeed, it is one of the healthiest spiritual belief systems on Earth.
Associate membership in the Church is free to all simply by registering. More information about us including our Principles of Belief is available on the left navigation bar. We warmly invite you to join us to add your perspective in our quest to better understand and enhance the human condition.
We welcome open-minded individuals regardless of heritage, gender, or sexual orientation to join us in exploring and empowering the human spirit!

ICMH Humanitarian Awards
The concepts of Doing Right and Pay it Forward are among the foundational principles and Sacred Obligations of the International Church of Metaphysical Humanism (ICMH). It is only fitting, therefore, that ICMH offers humanitarian awards to recognize those individuals who Deliver Greatness in meaningful ways for the benefit of others. The criteria for the two humanitarian awards ICMH confers vary slightly (see below). ICMH looks for opportunities to confer these awards. In time, the lists below will undoubtedly grow. If you know someone who should be considered for one of these awards, please contact admin@icmhchurch.org. Be sure to give a detailed explanation as to why the person is qualified for one of these awards.

The Pay it Forward Award | The F. Richard Kelley Award |

|
Objective: To recognize a specific and meaningful act of kindness directed toward another person(s). It is generally easier to qualify for this award. This award was initiated in December 2014. AWARD WORDING: "IN RECOGNITION and honor of this individual’s efforts to lighten the load of others by paying it forward in meaningful ways thus Delivering Greatness to the World." AWARD RECIPIENTS: Janine Du Toit, South Africa, December 2014. Reason for award: For embracing and promoting the concept of packing an extra sandwich in her children's lunches to be shared with less fortunate children at school. "Making a positive difference in life is one of the most important transformations anyone can go through. Can you imagine how life would be if everyone tries to make a positive difference in a person’s life that they do not know? What a pleasure life would be if we could all take on such an attitude towards the humankind. My mission is to try and get this message out to as many people and friends that I know in a subtle and friendly way. Planting this seed will most certainly make a huge difference in my Metaphysical work." --Janine Du Toit Jenni Cupo, U.S., August 2015. Reason for award: For her efforts as a Cub Scout leader in supporting Tiny Hands which collects food and toys for those less fortunate at Christmas time. "We meet at the Boys and Girls Club in the gym and it is setup like an assembly line. The boys either stand behind the table to open boxes and keep the table full or they go from one station to another and fill the baskets. After all the baskets are full, they can take them to the families. The boys and their families have the choice to do these activities; I never force anyone to be involved, but when they do, they put their hearts into it and start to understand to the best of their ability how fortunate they are to have the basics such as food, a roof over their head, and their own beds to sleep in. ...My goal here is to show them compassion and how they can make a positive impact in society now and in the future." --Jenni Cupo Dr. Zachary Greiner, U.S., February 2018. Given for generous support of ICMH Church's global educational work. Dr. Donald Mathews, U.S., August 2021 Given for generous support of ICMH Church's global educational work. Dr. Norman Wilson, U.S., October 2021. Given for generously assisting others in spiritual growth. Dr. Jeraldine Tory, U.S., May 2023. Donations
Our plans include providing financial and material assistance to those in desperate need, developing affiliate fellowships around the globe, offering life-empowering skills on a much broader scale, training ministers and metaphysicians, and much more. We already do this to the extent possible.
The challenge to achieving our goals to raise human consciousness is that it requires financial resources. We need the help of many to make a difference in the lives of many.
We sincerely and humbly ask that you consider making a generous donation to our work today and, therein, share in our efforts to make a difference in the world. Even small donations of $10 or more will help. We will use your tax-deductible donation nobly as good stewards to empower the human spirit through our ministerial and educational efforts.
Types of Donations We accept monetary donations as well as donations of real estate and other property. The Church may also be named in a will, life insurance policy, annuity, and/or another investment with a death benefit, if you so desire. For monetary donations over $5,000, we kindly request that the donation be submitted in the form of a check, money order, cashier's check, or bank wire transfer, if possible. This allows your donation to go further as it saves the finance charges we incur on every online transaction. If this is not possible, you may still donate online.
You may send donations to the International Church of Metaphysical Humanism, 4368 Padgette Street, North Port, FL 34291 USA. Please make your checks/money orders payable to "International Church of Metaphysical Humanism" or "ICMH". All donations will be acknowledged via email and those above $250 will receive a letter of acknowledgment for tax purposes.

What is Metaphysics and Metaphysical Humanism?
When thinking of metaphysics, many people think of
the occult or the devil, or they may conjure up a mental image of
whacky New Agers on the fringe of reality touting their latest blend
of “snake oil,” or witches and warlocks casting spells as they dance
naked around an open fire. While there will always be those on the
fringe of any human endeavor, metaphysics in general has nothing to do
with the foregoing description.
Metaphysics is actually the scientific study of consciousness,
existence, and reality. It explores and endeavors to answer the "Why?"
question about who we are, where we came from, and how we fit into the
Grand Scheme of things. Anytime a person asks about the nature of how
something works, he or she is delving into the realm of metaphysics.
Metaphysics has been around since the dawn of humanity and covers a
wide field of study including everything from theoretical mathematics
to physics to cosmology to psychic phenomena. Metaphysics is a valid
field of study both in and outside of the scientific community. Many
Metaphysicists or Metaphysicians practice varied forms of metaphysics
such as hypnosis, alternative healing, spiritual counseling,
life-coaching, psychic readings, paranormal research, and many others
that have a compelling basis in reality. Every religion is also
metaphysical in nature; but rather than a religion itself, metaphysics
is more about how we view and seek to understand the Cosmos.
Metaphysical Humanism
Metaphysical Humanism is simply our term for the study of metaphysics
focused on understanding and enhancing the human condition and all
that it encompasses (it is also called Metaphysical Humanistic Science
in our degree program). Unlike the two extremes of typical Secular
Humanism vs. religion in general, it takes a meaningful, practical,
and rational approach to metaphysics devoid of rigid, superstitious,
mythical, and ungrounded beliefs that rely on aberrational faith to
accept. Metaphysical Humanism is about exploring, understanding, and
enhancing the human condition in a variety of ways; it’s about
empowering the human spirit; and it’s about discovering the true
nature of our existence in relation to all that is.
Through our educational programs, we believe in teaching
meaningful metaphysical principles that serve to help people lead more
successful and fulfilling lives, and who, in turn, use these
principles to help others. Perhaps the greatest and most encouraging
common denominator of those interested in metaphysics is
that they have a deep desire to help raise the level of human
consciousness in positive ways. They believe in the premise that if
each person has a positive effect on those within his or her sphere of
influence, the entire world benefits. We applaud all those who would
join us in this growing field of study because with many, we have a
better chance of learning what life is truly all about!
